Hawk Bath

The Photo

The photo above is of that of a Red Shoulder Hawk. These airborne predators are common to Florida and can often be seen carrying a snake or squirrel in their razor sharp talons.

There’s nothing quite like a Florida evening cooldown. 🦅💦

Spotted this beautiful Red-shouldered Hawk splashing around in a pond today, turning a quick drink into a full-on bath session. They may be fierce predators by trade, but even raptors need to freshen up after a long day in the swamp.

Just a wild hawk living its best life, shaking off the heat one feather at a time.
